In general terms a mystery, is “anything that is kept secret or remains unexplained or unknown“. God’s ways can be classed as mysterious as he does not disclose information to us which can harm us – information is only revealed once we are ready. The Holy Spirit will help us to identify deceptions from the devil (e.g. calling a bad life, like drinking, a good life). God delivers his believers from evil and brings them to better positions, even when it doesn’t appear like it is possible. Think of Joseph who went into slavery at first, ending up as a prime minister in a foreign land, Egypt.
God’s way does not remain a permanent mystery to the believer- He shows us his plans
1 Corinthians 2:9 (ESV)
But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”—10 these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God
The following sermon on mysteries will answer the questions on how to receive God’s revelation (knowledge not written in the word). We are really looking forward to the exciting times ahead!

Revelational knowledge is knowledge which cannot be found in books and cannot be learned.
Rhema is the revelation of the word. It is based on written text and gives a deeper understanding of the word.
Rhema is received only if the right mindedness is set. Then the word becomes flesh.
The steps to receive Rhema: 1) Read and believe the word; 2) Understand the word; 3) Meditate on the word;
Sources other than the bible of revelational knowledge are messages and utterances from Angels, Dreams, Visions through spiritual encounters.
