1 Peter 5:8-9⁸ Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. ⁹ Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

• Life is an ongoing battle for the souls of men
• The devil distracts from that real battle
• Hell is not meant for us (Matthew 25:14, John 3:16-19)
• As heaven is for all mankind, we need to fight for souls to bring people to Christ
• Do not conform to this world Romans 12:1-2
• Thank God that he gave is Son
• Remain on God’s side
• Standing out can be difficult
• We as Christians ought to be different – John 16:33
• See any affliction as light – Be forever in heaven is the bigger goal
• Count on his grace to accomplish what God has planned in your life
